Hi Guys. Its hard to say when I first started throwing the tea bag from the jar to the cup. don't worry i can still make the tea if i fail in my attempts - I'm not that neurotic. The thing is i always imagine a director trying to get the shot for some Brat pack movie where emilio esterfez throws his teabag nonchalantly into the cup. This means the camera keeps rolling so they have enough space for an edit. This morning I finally thought "hey i can actually film this". In this shot it takesme two goes. as I filmed it myself I failed to go in for the close up of the bag in the cup. So hey guys come on post your bag tossings here. Please can someone come up with a name as tea bagging is rude (something to do with mens bits). Should like to add that this morning I was using a borrowed kettle as a friend popped round yesterday an put our kettle on the hobb resulting in big flames and a big red fire engine appearing. We are all okay (lots of wet towels) but my friend is very embarassed.
if ever, by magic, my teabagtossing is transferred to the web - over here in Belgium it's almost impossible to find the simple tea bags like you have in England - they all have strings - which makes it somewhat easier...
I am suprised that thus far I have failed to credit Patrick Caulfield as being an influence on this blog - perhaps because I hadn't noticed yet. I love the way he manages to convince you of the detail in the shadows. In the case of the photos it really is there... perhaps not as richly as the part in Blade runner when they start finding all sorts of information froma blurry snap.
